The Connect and Capture models are too small for use with a 24" screen and inadequate if you want to extend your laptop's desktop to both the internal 15" screen and the external LCD. Like many others I'm torn between the Bamboo Create and Intuos 4 medium. Some people draw with broader strokes and adapt much better to the larger tablets.
It's free so she has more money to spend on a better tabletand it's pretty good.
Syreeta, the Bamboo Create is comparable to the previous Fun medium model, so it'd work just fine with moddel 24" LCD with x px resolution, like the Dell U Contrast your informative review with this extract from the Wacom website: One more thing will wacom tablet also works for other softwares like Adobe Illustrator, InDesign etc.

I'd choose the Bamboo Capture model, which is the least expensive that has multi touch support. Also take a look on the Monoprice tablets. Well made, very light and thin, with enough resolution to work well on large displays up to pixels cht-670 width. The Wacom website says 9. First of all, I have to say that you made a Really Amazing review. I am impressed with the construction of it not flimsy AT ALL and the pen isn't very chunky as it looksthough I feel it is not as responsive and as accurate as I'd like. They're much cheaper than Wacom's and would work fine for less demanding work. Don't know which to buy! If you want the best possible and are comfortable working with a single display, buy a Cintiq. It has multi touch support and this is very handy for scrolling web pages and using gestures in Mac OS X Lion and the upcoming Windows 8.
It is as precise as a real pencil, and the various buttons can all be configured to suit your workflow.
But I have a little question. I just watched the video again and the fact that I dreamed about a product like this my whole life makes it such a hard decision!
And here's a cautionary note for Intous4 Small buyers. The medium sized Intuos5 is the most versatile model, even though the small one has plenty of resolution to work well with your screen size.
